As part of its effort to demonstrate commitment towards the achievement
of the SDGs, the government of Ghana in August 2017 inaugurated a technical
committee for the execution of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the
Africa Agenda 2063. The formation of the committee was the first move in the
localization of the SDGs and Agenda 2063. From the foregoing, the Strategic
Youth Network for Development (SYND) has analyzed the 2016 Annual Progress
Reports (APRs) of 4 district assemblies out of the 216 districts, in order to
ascertain the level of youth inclusion in the planning and implementation of
their respective local level programmes. Additionally, the exercise sought to
analyse the reporting approach of local level interventions specifically on
climate change, biodiversity, forestry, energy access and gender in line with
SYND’s thematic areas of work. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE REPORT
