Chibeze Ezekiel
Ghana government has indicated plans to establish a “2 x 350MW
Supercritical Coal Fired Power Plant” which represents the first phase
of the development which is to be further expanded either by a 4×350MW (or
2×600MW). This project arguably shall derail the Paris Climate Agreement. This publication
(PART 1) analyses the Scoping Report and provides feedback on the Community
Entry Exercise conducted in the community where the plant is to be sited.

Chibeze S. Ezekiel is an Environmentalist working primarily in the areas of Climate Change, Biological Diversity, Forestry and Renewable Energy. He is a certified Youth Master Trainer on Climate Change and also a National SDGs Champion. In Ghana he coordinates the Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND), which is the convener for the Youth in Natural Resources and Environmental Governance (Youth-NREG) Platform.
