The National Environment Policy of Ghana is expected to inform all relevant stakeholders on their roles in managing the environment to sustain society at large. This paper makes a case why young people ought to be regarded as key stakeholders in implementing the policy towards helping to ensure effective and efficient sustainability of this policy. In September, 2010, a revised Environmental Sanitation Policy of Ghana was produced. The overall goal of this new policy is to develop a clear and nationally accepted vision of environmental sanitation as an essential social service and a major determinant for improving health and quality of life in Ghana.
